Dachser once again named one of Germany’s most successful logistics brands

This year, readers of trade magazine LOGISTIK HEUTE and members of the German Logistics Association (BVL) have once again chosen the best logistics brands in Germany. Dachser achieved second place in the “Contract logistics service” category. A total of 250 brands competed in 12 categories in the online vote.

“We are delighted at this honor. It’s the second time we’ve received an award for contract logistics since 2017. This recognition from the readers shows that our warehousing and transport services are well received by the market,” says Alexander Tonn, Corporate Director Corporate Contract Logistics at Dachser.

In the past few years, Dachser has invested in the expansion of its contract logistics services

The logistics provider currently has over 1.6 million square meters of warehouse space, which means it can offer its customers more than 2.4 million pallet spaces worldwide.

Dachser expands its logistics center in Hof

Construction is expected to be completed by fall 2020. The expansion also includes offices and communal areas covering a total area of 900 square meters. “Our new multi-user warehouse next to the existing logistics center will offer space for us to provide contract logistics services for a medium-sized customer from the DIY and gardening sector for example,” says Klaus Neubing, General Manager of the Hof logistics center, about the expansion of business at the location. The contract logistics services that DACHSER offers in Hof combine transport solutions and warehousing with comprehensive value-added services such as picking and packaging. Following the expansion, DACHSER will employ some 500 people in the town. In addition, around 300 people work regularly for DACHSER through the independent transport companies or, for example, as seasonal workers.

Having worked for the company in Germany for more than five years, Josling migrated to the United States in 2014. “The network makes us flexible”
