DACHSER appoints Andreas Fritsch as Managing Director European Logistics Germany

Andreas Fritsch will lead and further expand DACHSER's German business with the transport and storage of industrial goods as Managing Director European Logistics Germany from 1 January 2023. The experienced general manager of the logistics centre Ostwestfalen-Lippe in Bad Salzuflen near Bielefeld will take over this area of responsibility from COO Road Logistics Alexander Tonn who has led the German business unit of the European Logistics business line since 2017, and since his appointment to DACHSER's Management Board at the beginning of 2021 in a dual role.

DACHSER invests in the Netherlands

The groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion of the DACHSER Logistics Center Rotterdam in Waddinxveen, South Holland, was held in mid-December. Thanks to the construction of a new warehouse, DACHSER can offer its customers even more storage capacity.

DACHSER grows in Finland

DACHSER Finland will start operating a new logistics center in the Tampere region, in the south of the country, in the summer of 2024. The new facility for handling general cargo is located in Pirkkala at Tampere-Pirkkala Airport and will cover an area of over 50,000 sq. ft.

Making it through winter safe and sound

As the cold season begins, we see numerous accidents on the roads as a result of darkness and poor visibility. When snow and ice come into the mix, the transportation of dangerous goods may have to be put on hold. Driving bans may then result in delivery cancellations and delays. But if everyone involved complies with the regulations and adapts the way they drive to the weather conditions, vehicles will arrive at their destinations safely - even in winter.
