DACHSER adds new Neumünster location to its network

DACHSER has opened a new branch in Neumünster, Germany. Operations in the logistics center’s transit terminal began on August 31 and have since been gradually expanded. In early October, it began handling refrigerated food. DACHSER invested some EUR 17.4 million in the new location, which serves large parts of the Schleswig-Holstein region.

DACHSER puts its first hydrogen trucks into service

Next year, the logistics service provider will put a 27-ton Hyundai Xcient truck on the road in Magdeburg, Germany. The zero-emission truck will be used for regional distribution as well as regular scheduled nighttime services to Berlin. Another hydrogen fuel-cell truck, the 19-ton Enginius Bluepower, will start making deliveries for DACHSER to Hamburg’s city center in mid-2023.

DACHSER Rheine expands capacity

Construction is underway close to the company's site on a new distribution center, which will go into operation in October 2020. The heart of the facility on Sandkampstrasse is a 20,800 m2 logistics terminal with 26 loading gates for trucks and up to 36,800 pallet spaces. In addition, there is some 1,200 m2 of office space.
