DACHSER expands charter program between Europe and Asia
As of the start of September, the premium charter program of DACHSER Air & Sea Logistics now includes the Hong Kong–Frankfurt route. DACHSER European Logistics then distributes the goods from Frankfurt throughout Europe via its overland transport network. Fixed transit times, reliable planning, and high quality standards are hallmarks of the integrated transport solution.
DACHSER continues its commitment to training
At the start of the 2020 training year, 600 trainees and 25 students across Germany took the first step on their career paths at DACHSER. The logistics provider is thus sending a deliberate signal in uncertain times: it is investing in its people, who keep DACHSER’s resilient and efficient network running and, in turn, global supply chains.
Short update on the general situation in the transport sector
In the second half of the year, the corona pandemic is still the predominant topic in the media. While at the beginning of the pandemic new findings on Covid-19 were being announced almost daily and many updates were also published by DACHSER on loading restrictions in Europe as well as in America and APAC, something like a "new normality" has now returned.
At the moment, there are no longer any universal country or customer restrictions. We would therefore like to ask our customers to clarify individual restrictions such as closures, changed opening hours etc. with the recipients of the goods themselves. We are closely monitoring the further course of the corona pandemic and will keep you informed immediately of any developments. Should new loading restrictions be imposed, these will be published again via our website.
If you have any questions on this subject, please contact your local contact person at the respective DACHSER branch.

Latest update on DACHSER Air & Sea Logistics operations
With this update DACHSER would like to inform about the current DACHSER Air & Sea Logistics operations across the regions APAC, EMEA and Americas. In the attached document (see download below) it is listed whether a country organization of DACHSER is operational or, if only limited or not at all, why this is the case. Since the situation in the countries may change rapidly, the attached document will be updated on a regular basis and published on our website.
We sincerely regret any inconveniences caused to our customers due to the pandemic. At DACHSER, we have contingency measures in place and will offer our customers the best alternative solutions to keep the supply chain running. Anyhow, the situation at ports, airports or customs authorities might cause delays. Furthermore, the capacity situation on the global airfreight market is very tense as there are basically no passenger flights operating at the moment.
At the same time, DACHSER has installed strict hygiene measures (e.g. home office) to ensure a safe working environment and to do our part in stopping the spread of the virus. DACHSER is trying to keep the impact of these measures as low as possible, however, together with the official measures by the governments, the precautions may lead to some delays in the operations.
In case of any questions and/or queries, please feel free to contact your local DACHSER representative.
