DACHSER stays on course and expands its global network
After the economic boom in logistics resulting from the coronavirus pandemic and worldwide disruptions in supply chains, normalcy returned to the industry in 2023. DACHSER was among those whose financial year was marked by weak demand for logistics services in the face of significant overcapacity and a sharp decline in air and sea freight rates.
DACHSER sees another leap in growth
For the 2022 financial year, logistics provider DACHSER reports revenue of EUR 8.1 billion (+14.9 percent), marking the second consecutive year of double-digit growth.
DACHSER expands its LCL network portfolio in sea freight
DACHSER has been offering additional routes between Scandinavia and China since March 2022. The logistics provider’s direct LCL service runs once a week from Copenhagen and Gothenburg to Ningbo and Shanghai. Now that there is no more deconsolidation at the transit terminal, turnaround times are shorter, making this service a particularly fast transport option.

Machine learning – Support from the data cosmos

A new take on supply chains
The global economy is picking up once more. But the sharp rise in demand has to navigate not only the continuing pandemic but, increasingly, also material shortages. This presents a historic challenge and a real test for supply chains and global networks. Completely abandoning globalization, however, is not an option.
DACHSER takes on 613 junior staff
When a fresh cycle of training started this year in Germany, the logistics provider welcomed 583 new trainees and 30 new students to the DACHSER fold.
Whether providing the population with food, the economy with goods, or hospitals and doctor’s offices with medical supplies, logistics has been on everyone’s lips since the start of the pandemic and is classed as an essential service. DACHSER employees have demonstrated that they have the know-how and dedication to keep the economy’s supply chains working—thereby making an important contribution to society.
Margret is devoted to helping San children
Since 2015, DACHSER and the children's relief organization terre des Hommes have been committed to helping the children of the San people (also known as Bushmen) lead better, more independent lives. Education is an essential component – and 24-year-old Margret Hans is doing all she can to add it to the equation.
DACHSER establishes a competence center for data science and machine learning
Since the beginning of June, DACHSER has pooled the expertise it has gained in various research and innovation projects on the topics of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science in its new in-house Competence Center Data Science & Machine Learning.

The women fighting the coronavirus
Right at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, a distribution company based in northern Spain aligned itself with the new market requirements: in 2020, Pharmediq enlisted DACHSER’s help to transport more than 100 million masks and other protective equipment to locations in Spain and other European countries.
Customer confidence strengthened: DACHSER is satisfied with the year´s results
Investments of EUR 190 million earmarked for logistics capacity, technical equipment, and digital systems.
DACHSER can look back on a successful 2020, which was characterized by the loyalty and climate of mutual trust between the logistics provider, its customers, and its transport partners. DACHSER’s consolidated net revenue totaled EUR 5.61 billion, a slight decrease of 0.9 percent compared to the previous year.
A solid footing worldwide
Homes without any wood-based products from Austrian manufacturer Kaindl/Kronospan are few and far between. Achieving such widespread distribution poses quite the logistical challenge.
