DACHSER & Fercam Italia gathers pace
Effective March 28, 2024, DACHSER has acquired 80 percent of the shares in the joint venture DACHSER & Fercam Italia. This completes its acquisition of the majority of the groupage and contract logistics divisions of the Italian logistics company Fercam.

DACHSER acquires food logistics provider Brummer
With the acquisition of Brummer, the partner in the European Food Network for the transport of temperature-controlled food between Germany, Austria, and neighboring countries, DACHSER is strengthening its network for the transport and storage of food in Europe.

The first customers are using the DACHSER Platform for their day-to-day business
The first customers have been working with the DACHSER Platform since the end of August last year. After several intensive test phases, real customer data is now flowing through the system. This way, we learn daily which of the platform’s features are working smoothly and where there is a need for individual adjustments. The feedback helps to improve the platform step by step.
DACHSER showcases its logistics expertise in the aerospace industry by shipping a turbine from Brazil to Mexico
In December 2023, DACHSER has shipped an aircraft turbine for a Boeing 737 from Brazil to Mexico. With a weight of more than five tons and dimensions of 230 x 100 x 100 in, great commitment from the multinational teams was required to transport the shipment successfully to its destination over 4,500 miles away.
DACHSER strengthens air and sea freight in the Nordic countries of Europe
On January 1, 2024, Mattias Kellgren took over the position of Managing Director Air & Sea Logistics Nordic. With his appointment, DACHSER is strengthening its air and sea freight activities in the northern region of Europe.
DACHSER Americas strengthens its trucking division with a new Department Head
DACHSER has appointed Carrie Leon as Department Head Trucking Americas. In her new role, she will be focusing on the further development of the domestic product in the United States, on the development of transborder trucking to and from the United States as well as on international trucking in the Americas region.

Dr. Tobias Burger becomes COO Air & Sea Logistics at DACHSER
Since the turn of the year, Dr. Tobias Burger (46) has been the new Chief Operations Officer (COO) Air & Sea Logistics and a member of the Executive Board at DACHSER. The former Deputy Director Air & Sea Logistics replaces Edoardo Podestà (61), who has retired from active professional life after a career at DACHSER spanning more than 20 years, the last four of which he spent leading the air and sea freight business.

DACHSER acquires Swedish food logistics provider Frigoscandia AB
DACHSER has acquired the leading full-service provider in temperature-controlled and frozen food logistics in the Nordic region, Frigoscandia AB, headquartered in Helsingborg, Sweden. The acquisition is subject to approval by the European competition authorities.

For German-born Maureen Josling, customer service specialist at DACHSER’s branch in Detroit, her workplace is more than a perfect match. Having worked for the company in Germany for more than five years, Josling migrated to the United States in 2014. After pursuing her career stateside in other companies for a few years, she returned to DACHSER and found a piece of home overseas.
DACHSER takes full control of joint venture in South Africa
DACHSER has acquired the remaining 30 percent of shares in DACHSER South Africa and is now the sole owner of the Johannesburg-based country organization.
DACHSER USA expands its Contract Logistics capabilities with a new warehouse in Atlanta
DACHSER is growing its capacities in warehousing in the United States. With the opening of a new facility in Atlanta, Georgia, the company has inaugurated its second warehouse in the Atlanta area and its fourth multi-user warehouse in the country. In terms of both surface and pallet positions, it is by far the largest Contract Logistics facility of DACHSER in the United States.
