Aeromexico Presents Dachser with Award
In 2010, Dachser de Mexico established itself as one of the leading air freight exporters in the country. The cargo division of Aeromexico, the largest Mexican airline, recently presented Dachser’s Mexican subsidiary with an award for its outstanding growth in export volume last year.
Thus, Dachser de Mexico now ranks among the top eight customers of Aeromexico in terms of air freight exports. Dachser’s subsidiary in Mexico achieved 60% growth in shipments from 2009 to 2010, with a nearly fivefold increase in tonnage.
"We saw rapid growth in 2010," says Dachser country manager Christian Speit, who accepted the award at an event held by Aeromexico. "This shows that our customers value the efficient logistics services that we provide as a part of Dachser’s strong global network, including our extremely well-qualified personnel."
Aeromexico Cargo, a division of the Aeromexico Group, is the market leader in the Mexican air freight industry. The company has approximately 25% market share in exports. Aeromexico currently maintains a fleet of over 150 airplanes and offers around 630 daily flights to 40 destinations in Mexico as well as 35 international destinations in North and South America, Asia and Europe.
In 2010, Dachser generated total revenue of USD 5.4 billion. 19,250 staff working in 310 locations worldwide handled 46.2 million shipments weighing a total of 35.5 million tons.
